Missouri CCW
As Sheriff of Shannon County, I am a staunch believer in the 2nd Amendment and supporters of all legal citizens having the right and responsibility to bear arms. We are in deed fortunate to live in a state that offers Constitutional carry of firearms. However, choosing to wake up and toss a pistol into your pocket and leave the house with no education or experience on the matter, can often have disastrous consequences. Many good intentioned people may walk into a minor situation and feel the need to intervene and make it worse. A stolen candy bar is not worth a human life. Laugh but it has happened before. Or you may not know, it is illegal to walk into a Federal building with a firearm... even for Law Enforcement. Or my last example, a person may get into a legitimate self defense legal and ethical shooting, but they have never practiced, so they shoot everywhere except where they want to hit. The point of all of this is, you should know when and where you may legally carry a firearm and when you may legally use force, as well as, feeling confident in your ability to use that firearm as intended. As you know, knowledge is power. Coupled with experience, you are unstoppable force for good. When you carry, be a force for good.
