SHERIFF'S OFFICE OPERATIONS
This website is dedicated to the men and women of the Shannon County Missouri Sheriff's Office, the community and operation of the Sheriff's office under the guidance of Sheriff Steven R Hogan. It's a great space to learn about the various operations and services provided by the Sheriff's Office, including patrol, investigations, and community outreach.
EMERGENCY RESPONSE STRATEGY
Law Enforcement is never needed more than in times of emergency. It never matters to the people affected by the emergency, how or why it happened. They only care that they can live and feel safe and recover from the event. The Shannon County Sheriff's Office eagerly fills the void as emergency responders. We will dedicate ourself to being the beacon of light our citizens need in their darkest hour. Because we care about our people. They give us the power to be who we are and we are thankful to them all.
ENHANCING LAW ENFORCEMENT PROCESSES
Your team of Law Enforcement professionals are here to assist you. We have over three hundred years of combined experience between the entire staff and we will employ all of our combined skills and experience to reduce crime in a big way. We have Deputies that will be proactively patrolling to deter crime. Deputies will respond to calls for service. Deputies will investigate and attempt to close cases and bring closure to families and victims. The administration will hear your concerns and needs and work diligently to provide the public with outcomes they need, want and deserve. Our Dispatchers will be patient and professional, but mostly empathetic and helpful. Detention Officers who are diligent and professional as well as respectful and determined to ensure all of our Inmates are treated fairly. We will provide the best Law Enforcement Experience to our citizens, that Shannon County has ever seen.

Our staff members are all well trained and proficient in the the tasks of their careers. We are all career staffers here and as such, we have built a team with values and plenty of knowledge. The value of their experience means, every encounter Deputies face, they will know what it means. They will know how to be successful and complete the case with the best possible outcome.
ASSET AND RESOURCE MANAGEMENT
As your Sheriff, I will be fiscally responsible. I will ensure every penny spent has a purpose. I assure you, my priority is Shannon County and as such, I will ensure all Sheriff's Office assets and personnel are utilized in the most responsible manner possible. Where I see a need, I will fill it. I will not indulge in expenditures that do not benefit the office or the public safety. On my oath, you have my word.
